Smoked hocks are made from the lower leg of the pig. This tasty bit is made up of bone, skin, a bit of lean meat, fat and connective tissue. When cured and smoked, it becomes super concentrated in flavor and is a great addition to any brothy dish. The connective tissue melts and makes the broth extra luscious and the meat and bones add lots of smoky, savory pork flavor. 

Our pasture raised pork is clean and delicious. We use the smoked ham hocks to flavor stews, braised vegetables, and beans. Just add the hock into the recipe with the liquid and let it simmer for a few hours. 

Each package of Red House Ranch smoked ham hocks weighs roughly 1/2 pound which is enough for one pot of soup, stew, or beans.
